From a Challenging Past to a Visionary Future
Growing up in a toxic environment as the youngest among siblings, I grappled with deep-seated insecurities that became my constant companions. Struggling to find confidence, I inadvertently ventured down a dark path that would shape my journey in profound ways.
A Metamorphosis Within Incarceration
Handcuffed at just 14, my life took an unexpected turn, leading me through the harsh corridors of both the Florida State Prison system and later the Federal system for a staggering 13 years. Behind those walls, I underwent a rigorous metamorphosis—a transformation that would define my purpose and drive for years to come.
CHC: A Dream Realized
Since my return to freedom in 2016, I've turned my life around, founding the Coming Home Coalition (CHC). My dream? To give back to the very community I once unwittingly contributed to destroying. I walk the same streets where I once sold drugs, now striving to uplift individuals I once played a role in harming. Today, I stand as a man of peace, understanding the profound value of life.
Instilling Hope through Coming Home Coalition
The Coming Home Coalition is my vehicle for instilling hope back into the community. It's about being the change we all aspire to see. Through my experiences, I've learned that transformation is not only possible but contagious. I've witnessed the power of redemption, and it fuels my mission to inspire change.
Connecting Nationally with "The Thomas FreeMe Show"
In reaching out to those who need it most, I launched "The Thomas FreeMe Show," a podcast that resonates with hearts across the nation. Through these airwaves, I connect with those who feel hopeless, establishing links that go beyond geographical boundaries.
Authoring "The Power of a Positive Mindset"
My journey from a negative mindset to one of resilience is detailed in my first book, "The Power of a Positive Mindset." It chronicles my struggles, the pivotal moments of change, and the mindset that guides me today. My aim is to share my story, not just as a testament to personal growth, but as a beacon of hope for others facing their own struggles.

Courtney Benson Esq Vice-Chair
Courtney Benson grew up in Florida and received her Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
Since being called to the bar in 2017, Ms. Benson has quickly built a reputation as a zealous and powerful advocate for her clients. Her practice focuses on criminal defense representation, wills and estate planning, and divorce cases.
Prior to opening the doors of CMB Law LLC, Ms. Benson spent six years working as a Legal Assistant, handling a wide variety of cases from beginning to end. With a background as a paralegal, Ms. Benson brings a unique set of organizational and administrative skills to every case, ensuring that your case will be handled effectively and efficiently.
Working closely with numerous lawyers and Judges has given her a unique perspective. She has always preferred to be in court rather than work at the office. Her tenacity has driven her to develop and present an effective defense on behalf of clients.
Ms. Benson's experience includes defending clients against a wide range of criminal litigation, both State and Federal.
